2005 - Physician Education: Niranjan K. Mittal, MD, hosts informative dinner about the state of heart disease and vascular disease in New York
November 2005 - Several hundred physicians, health care professionals, and community leaders attended a special dinner hosted by Dr. Mittal. The purpose was to help audience members understand that death rates from heart disease and vascular disease in New York City and its suburbs are among the highest in the country. In New York City and its surrounding communities, citizens are underserved and uninformed about heart disease and vascular disease. An emotionally moving video, a speech from Dr. Mittal and informative brochures made the message clear. Dr. Mittal partnered with Mount Sinai Medical Center to rally physicians and healthcare leaders to make a difference in these peoples lives by extending expert resources to the communities they serve. Below are some photos from the memorable event.
